HOURS OF OPERATION: The park visitor's center and museum is closed for the winter months. Operation will resume on weekends only in April with daily operation in May throughout the summer months. Town tours will be given on weekends only until the start of the summer season in June, then daily.
You can still enjoy the park daily from sunrise to sunset on a self-guided basis. A self-pay envelope is located on the museum porch for the day use fee.
There are over 20 miles of trails throughout the park to enjoy a leisurely or a moderately steep hike. Swim, or fish in Blair Lake.
DAY USE FEE: $8.00 per vehicle. Discounts are available for seniors and veterans.
CAMPING STATUS: Camping is closed for the winter months. The three miner cabins will be available for rental on May 1, 2016 and Chute Hill campground will open on Memorial Day weekend later in May. Reservations for both cabins and campground can be made through Reserve America, 7 months in advance of your stay. Contact Reserve America at 1-800-444-7275.
