Park Status and Current Information

HOURS OF OPERATION: The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. A self-pay envelope for the park day use fee is located on the museum porch for before or after visitor center hours.

DAY USE FEE: $8.00 per vehicle. Discounts are available for seniors and veterans.

VISITOR CENTER AND MUSEUM: Open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm through November. Thereafter, the Visitor Center and Museum will be open on weekends only during the winter months.

TOWN TOURS: Daily at 1:30 pm when the Visitor Center and Museum is open.

GOLD PANNING: Starting in June at 3:00 on Saturdays.

RECREATION: There are over 20 miles of trails throughout the park to enjoy a leisurely or a moderately steep hike. Swim, or fish in Blair Lake.

CAMPING: Our rustic miners cabins are open through October 30, 2016 and our campground is open through November 27, 2016. Reservations for both cabins and campground can be made through Reserve America at 1-800-444-7275.

Help support California's state parks by purchasing an annual day use pass online at www.parks.ca.gov or purchase your pass at Malakoff when the visitor's center is open.
