Fishing, picnicking, camping, and hiking are among many activities to enjoy at Malakoff Diggins. Tours of historic North Bloomfield are offered daily during the summer. Chute Hill campground and the rustic Miner’s Cabins are open from May through September.

Cool off with a dip in the Blair Lake, or hike down our Humbug Creek Trail 2.7 miles to the South Yuba River for a chillier swim. Approximately 20+ miles of hiking and biking trails offer glimpses or direct looks at the historic cliffs washed away by gold seekers in the 1800’s.

We also host special events throughout the year such as Humbug Day on the second Saturday in June, the Labor Day Ice Cream Social, and Malakoff’s French Connection in early September. Evening Campfire Programs, guided hikes, and gold panning are offered throughout the summer.
