Did you come to our recent Humbug Day Celebration on June 10, 2017? A grand time was had by all! Mark your calendar for next year’s event: June 9, 2018.  See the exciting and controversial hydraulic gold mining era of the 1870’s! 

Enjoy music, wagon rides, barbecue picnic, craft demonstrations, gold panning, candle making and tin punching, old-fashioned family games, and prizes, storytelling, living history tours of historic North Bloomfield, the world’s shortest parade and water blasting of the old hydraulic water cannon!

Come celebrate the Labor Day weekend with us on the Skidmore lawn in the old historic town of North Bloomfield.  Have an ice cream cone on us and participate in old-fashioned games for all ages.

 Malakoff’s French Connection

We had so much fun celebrating the historic French influences to Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park. We enjoyed a fun day of French-inspired music, food, games, ceremonies, and interpretive walks, and a special visit from French Consul General Emmanuel Lebrun-Damiens, from San Francisco.
